vintage magazines

Status: Schematic Design

There is something reaffirming about the tangibility of magazines and newspapers as the source of information, especially in the current days of digital sound bytes and misinformation. That’s why the architecture of Hi Desert Times incorporates a prominent traingular glass cutout, holding a tree, symbolizing magazines as a source of growth and knowledge.

In the rear, six pivoting magazine shelving panels flank the main entry through a courtyrad right behind the traingular cut out, celebrating the tree at the end of one’s entry procession.
